I LOVE Place Pins

I'm seriously addicted to Pinterest. I use it to organize and keep trace of quite everything that could be helpful for my work or my free time. I collect ideas, it's my secret book of inspiration. Now I will use it also to explore places. Indeed, there's a new feature that I'm loving a lot: Place Pins that allows you to create Place Boards, that means that you can add a place name to your Pin and get the address and other details. Place boards highlight all your Pins on a map.

Barbes Rochechouart - appartment in Paris - by Flora De Gastines

Ikea Abstrakt kitchen (revisited) | Tulip chairs by Eero Saarinen and Big Swing Lamp by India Mahdavi

Flora De Gastines - of Double G - has completely reinvented this 70 sqm "L shaped" industrial space   in Paris getting a comfortable appartment. She chosed some vintage design (as for the chairs) and some old pieces (as for the table and bench) together with more contemporary actors (as for the India Mahdavi's pieces, the Marie Christophe's  wirework lamp, the Cole and Son wallpaper 'till the Ikea kitchen).

The IT University of Copenhagen

I still have some photos of my trip to Copenhagen that I'm trying to organize in the free time. These photos were taken inside the IT University. Isn't it a stunning space? (Others yet to come!)

Cucoloris, what is it?

The CUCOLORIS. Indeed, a phenomenally strange name for a piece of plywood with a number of oddly shaped holes cut into it. In staged reality, a CUCOLORIS might be set up in front of an artificial light source to create the pleasingeffect of sunlight streaming through the leaves of a tree.

Today I want to be Ambra Medda

Ambra Medda is not only so cool and beautiful but she's also the co-founder of Design Miami/, the definitive fair for limited edition design, and the co-founder and creative director of L’ArcoBaleno, an online marketplace for extraordinary design from around the world. Today I discovered from the pages of Living that she lives in a eclectic cosy appartment of the East Village in New York where she created a 'lived space' atmosphere. Each single thing has been emotionally chosen. Design pieces of different decades are mixed with vintage and personal objects; they are there right where they are useful not only beautiful. Is it strange if today I dream to be Ambra?

White goats on a November morning

Early morning, at the main door of Villa of Castello/La Petraia  Are you wondering what are two goats doing in front of the main entry of the famous Accademia della Crusca (the Accademia is the most important center of scientific research dedicated to the study and promotion of Italian language and it is located in Florence, at the Medicean Villa of Castello/La Petraia)?

MEZZA | Marco Ferreri for Ceramica Bardelli

The package contains no instructions. And so we can reasonably imagine that this this master of playful design invites us to experiment with the circumstances: banning symmetries, arbitrary rules
and boredom. And so we playfully arrange on the wall the figures of four animals, black and white, above and below, in front and behind, head and tail.
When you move the chickens, ducks, pigs and fish around, who has more fun, you or them? If you’re already wondering, already thinking about it, maybe Mezza is meant to be your other half.
I want a wall like this in my home.

4 decorative subjects that may be freely put together on all sides, silkscreen printed in black against a glossy white background (Extra White), each composed of two tiles measuring 10x10 cm.
Mezza is designed by Marco Ferreri for Ceramica Bardelli.

In Italy, when we say la Bialetti we're probably talking about the most known moka pot designed in 1933 by Luigi De Ponti and produced by Bialetti company.

Moleskine free templates

Bookmarks by Anna Fedchenko

I bought my new Moleskine for 2014 (yellow :-) and I visited the link written on the cover. That's how I discovered the free templates section of Moleskine's official website where I found a lot of good ideas to customize my agenda. It is possible to download as pdf a variety of page format templates, to print them out, and to add them into our notebook.  These are between my favourites!

Loft house - house like a village - by Marc Koehler Architects

With the transformation - by Marc Koehler Architects - of an old harbor-cantina on KNSM Island in Amsterdam into large apartments, this building changed function but kept its identity.
The house is composed from 4 smaller ‘houses’, containing the more sprivate spaces and

Moodboarding my stuff

Does the verb 'to moodboard' exist? I think no, it doesn't. Anyway 'to moodboard' describes well what I was trying to do with my new socks, my old things and Instagram, last weekend. I don't usually wear pink (told you) but I found some pairs of socks I couldn't resist to. Yes, socks!.. not really feminine but warm and comfortable. I also found some other pink stuff between my things (told you). So what about pink, grey and bronze?

(handmade velvet bag, handmade blingbling, my dad's refreshed grey hat, socks from Calzedonia outlet, old blouse from Zara)
